High Testosterone Levels

Some of us are born with high testosterone levels. As we age, most of us will find our hormone levels decline steadily overtime, but there will be some who continually maintain high testosterone levels, or at least higher than normal. Such individuals will hold a strong advantage over most other men, and while that may seem unfair it's just the way it is. However, it doesn't have to be this way. If you want to have high testosterone levels there's really no reason on earth why you can't if you are a healthy adult male.

The Benefits of High Testosterone Levels:

Before you decide if you want high testosterone levels, the first order of business is discovering the benefits. The obvious benefits are men with high testosterone levels can build more lean muscle mass, they're stronger and generally hold less body fat. Such men normally have stronger mental focus and clarity, they don't get sick as often, have fewer heart attacks and enhance their ability of sexual performance. Men with high testosterone levels greatly enhance their overall well-being, they have more energy and are generally happier individuals.

The Disadvantages of High Testosterone Levels:

When it comes to disadvantages of high testosterone levels, there can be side effects. Testosterone has the ability to aromatize, convert to estrogen, and this can lead to gynecomastia and excess water retention. It also has the ability to reduce to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) through the 5-alpha reductase enzyme, and this can promote acne, hair loss and body hair growth. However, while high testosterone levels can produce these things it's not as cut and dry as you might think. We can all tolerate a fair amount of testosterone, and most healthy adult men can tolerate more than their body can produce fairly well. There is, however, a cutoff point and it will vary from one man to the next. Some will simply be able to tolerate more than others based on their genetics.

If you are truly going after high testosterone levels, some men will need to provide themselves with anti-estrogens in order to control the related effects. Some men will also need to provide themselves with a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. However, understand things like hair loss are only possible if you're predisposed to male pattern baldness, and acne is generally only a concern for those truly sensitive.

How to Obtain High Testosterone Levels:

There is only one way to truly obtain high testosterone levels and that is through exogenous testosterone supplementation. There are certain foods that can help you increase your levels and a few over the counter supplements that can provide a boost, but none of those things will really send you to the high end range. If you want high testosterone levels, you have to give yourself testosterone. Some will argue this fact due to misplaced fear when it comes to the hormone, but try looking at it like you would food. You're hungry and you need something to eat and someone offers you a piece of wood, this really doesn't help you. Or maybe they offer you a glass of water and some celery, this will curb your hunger but it doesn't really fix the situation. If you want high testosterone levels, you need testosterone.

You can obtain exogenous testosterone in many forms, transdermal creams and patches, subcutaneous implant pellets, oral pills and injectable testosterone. The injectable versions will be the best. They are the most efficient and with such forms there is no limit to how far you can go. The other forms can also do a decent job, but they will be limited when it comes to their overall effectiveness. If you truly want high testosterone levels, you need testosterone and you need injectable testosterone.
